Services

Psychometric Services
for Your Organization

Developing a measurement tool takes resources, expertise, and time, while an organization's needs keep changing. As a result, many assessments in use are outdated or no longer aligned with the organization's goals. All our services follow scientific standards and are tailored to your organization's needs.

Service 01

Psychological Measurement Tool Development

This also covers adding new items to tools already in routine use without losing score comparability.

What you receive

  • A ready-to-use tool: items, norms, and cut scores
  • Technical manual and interpretation guide
  • A report of validity and reliability evidence
  • Support for your assessment team at every step

Process

How We Develop Measurement Tools to Scientific Standards

Every tool we develop goes through a systematic scientific process that stays responsive to the client's needs.

  1. Needs Analysis

    Understanding the need

    • Exploring the organization's needs, jobs, and values
    • Defining the relevant psychological aspects
  2. Theoretical Framework

    Theory and blueprint

    • Theoretical basis and psychological model
    • Construct definition
    • Test blueprint
  3. Item Development

    Item writing

    • Items written to psychometric standards, including SJTs and game-based assessment
    • Expert review with Scientific Partners
  4. Pilot Testing & Validation

    Pilot and validation

    • Pilot testing
    • Item analysis, including IRT
    • Validity and reliability testing, then revision
  5. Standardization & Implementation

    Ready to use

    • Norms and cut scores
    • Technical manual and interpretation guide
    • Integration with an assessment system or platform where needed

Every measurement tool ends with a complete technical manual.

The construct, the development procedure, validity and reliability evidence, norms, and how to read the scores, all written down, so your team can check and maintain the tool on its own.

Standards

The Standards and Methods We Use

Our team develops measurement tools with Item Response Theory (IRT), adaptive testing, and game-based assessment, on the same references for every engagement.

  • ITC Affiliate Member

The International Test Commission, the world's body for testing guidelines.

  • International and national standards

The AERA, APA, and NCME Standards, the ITC and ITC–ATP guidelines, and the HIMPSI Psychological Test Standards.

  • Modern psychometrics

Item Response Theory, adaptive testing, and game-based assessment, through to the technical manual.

  • Scientific Partners

University experts matched to the work: psychometrics, industrial and organizational psychology, and education.

Development foundations

Foundations and References for Our Measurement Tools

Every measurement tool we build, analyze, or review rests on four references. The international references set the principles. The national reference makes them the rules that apply in Indonesia.

  1. AERA, APA, and NCME · 2014 edition

The core reference on validity, reliability, and fairness in measurement. From it we treat validity as an argument built from evidence, not a single number. Its chapter on workplace testing guides assessment in organizations.

The Joint Committee has been revising the Standards since 2024; we follow its progress.

  2. Test adaptation · test use · quality control in scoring and reporting · test security

Used when a measurement tool moves across languages and cultures, when scores are reported, and when items must be protected. Anvesana is an Affiliate Member of the ITC.

  3. ITC with the Association of Test Publishers (ATP) · 2022, updated 2025

The foundation for digital assessment: adaptive tests, game-based assessment, and online administration, including validity, fairness, accessibility, security, and privacy.

  4. HIMPSI Psychological Test Standards

Decree No. 023/SK/PP-HIMPSI/VIII/18 (2018) · Regulation on the Construction, Production, and Distribution of Psychological Tests (2017)

47 standards for the development, adaptation, use, and confidentiality of psychological tests in Indonesia. The regulation refers directly to the ITC and the Joint Committee, so all four references point the same way.

In practice, these foundations mean:

  • Development is led by psychologists with psychometric expertise, together with Scientific Partners in the relevant field.
  • No measurement tool is used before there is validity evidence from several sources.
  • Reliability is always reported with its standard error of measurement.
  • Measurement fairness is tested, not assumed.
  • Every measurement tool comes with a technical manual.

Game-based assessment

Next Chapter: measured through play.

Unlike the measurement tools above, which are taken as tests, Next Chapter is played as a game. Participants go through a story and interactive tasks, and their choices and behavior during play are turned into scores.

  • Decision simulation
  • Narrative personality
  • Cognitive and neuroscience

Developed by Level Up powered by Agate with Anvesana Research Institute. Anvesana looks after the measurement side: constructs, validation, and norms.
